South Asia Gateway terminals (SAGT) commenced operations at Queen Elizabeth Quay in 1999 as the first public private partnership container terminal operator in Sri Lanka and is one of four container terminals in the Port of Colombo. At SAGT, developing customer centric solutions to the international container shipping community is an integral part of our DNA.
The company is a Board of Investment (BoI) flagship entity with nearly 60% of Sri Lankan shareholding, backed by John Keells Holdings, APM Terminals, Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) and Peony investments (subsidiary of Evergreen Marine Corporation).
SAGT is a recipient of multiple independent globally recognized “best practice” awards consistently over its 20 plus years of service to the Sri Lanka’s international trading community.
