We have set the highest standards in terms of quality assurance, monitoring and evaluating our performance, for the improvement in all aspects of Safety, Health and Environment Management.
We also have a dedicated department for Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) at SAGT. The department is accountable for ensuring nothing less than the highest health and safety practises are followed in the day to day operations of the terminals. At SAGT, we have also developed standardised procedures and proactive safety features to handle specialised operations with maximum efficiency.
We have a culture that makes safety, a priority in all our operations, which is a vital contributing factor to our success. SAGT continuously strives to improve standards and performance in terms of safety. We constantly work on reducing operational hazards and risks through failsafe risk management systems.

Audit Health, Safety and Environment management system to assess the effectiveness and identify potential recommendations.
Annual reviews on the Health, Safety and Environment policies.
Annual review and recording of Health, Safety and Environment risks associated with the business and implementation of suitable action plans to minimize these risks.
Special focus on controlling “Fatal 5” hazards, representing potential for fatal injury.
Managing compliance with all applicable regulations, legislation and industry best practice and standards such as ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
Conduct Health, Safety and Environmental training for staff at all levels.
Assess the Health, Safety and Environmental implications during the evaluation of investment decisions.
Investigate and report incidents and implement corrective action to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, legislations and management systems.
Encourage and support partners, contractors and suppliers to achieve and manage Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
Consult and engage with customers, external parties, local communities and other interested stakeholders to maintain Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
Publish annual reports on all Health, Safety and Environmental matters in accordance with applicable regulations, legislation and the management system.
Ensure full compliance with all relevant and applicable regulations, procedures and practices as directed by the Health Authorities to prevent and mitigate the impact of Covid-19 pandemic and other similar health hazards.
