The ownership of SAGT, one of the global container terminal operators is held by a consortium of local and international leaders in shipping, finance and commerce. The main stakeholders are A.P. Moller Maersk Group a Danish corporation of international repute and John Keells Holdings PLC – the country’s leading blue-chip conglomerate. Evergreen Marine Corporation and the Sri Lanka Ports Authority are all well established organisations working towards a common goal of improving Sri Lanka’s economic growth.
