All Port Operations including the movement of Import and Export cargo, have been designated as Essential Services. Accordingly, we are pleased to inform all Importers, Freight Forwarders and Clearing Agents that the SAGT Doc Centre at the Canal Yard will be fully operational and open to all Consignees and/or their Customs Clearing Agents during the following hours, commencing Monday 30th March 2020.
Monday – Friday : 09:30am to 4:30pm
Saturday : 10:00am to 3:00pm
Sunday : 11:00am to 3:00pm
Any changes to these working hours will be notified to the Trade.
Meanwhile, SAGT can handle electronic Delivery Order processing in support of the Governmental directives for “social distancing” and “avoidance of gatherings in numbers” for the prevention of Covid-19 infections.
Please proactively explore this initiative with your service partners as an effective and efficient medium towards establishing it as a Standard Operating Process for the future.
