Job Profile:

The Data Platform Specialist requires a high degree of specialized expertise and skill in maintaining established standards of quality and accuracy to provide a specialized technical problem solving and ingenuity while working within approved organizational systems and technology.

Main responsibilities of the job include:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Design and create interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI based on business requirements.
• Integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and integrity across all systems.
• Manage, configure and maintain company databases, ensuring performance, integrity and security, following best practices and adhering to the standards.
• 24*7 support for database and related mission-critical application environments, both on-premises and the Cloud.
• Manage SQL Server/ Oracle databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
• Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, provide problem resolution end-to-end including Microsoft SQL backup and recovery strategies while maintaining high availability solutions including replication and clustering.
• Communicate, coordinate with IT and business teams to successfully resolve and maintain issues related to databases, reports and related applications.

Candidate profile:

• The ideal candidate should be a technical specialist who is able to work within a structured environment while ensuring that the work is accomplished quickly and efficiently with a high degree of quality and detail.
• A degree from a recognized university in Computer Science or equivalent qualifications.
• Possess Microsoft SQL related certification or advanced SQL training from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in any combination of database technologies such as Microsoft SQL, Oracle, MySQL, including database engine, integration services, reporting services and analysis services.
• Hands on experience in SQL Server Installation, configuration and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions including Microsoft SQL clustering, always-on, mirroring and replication.
• Good understanding of report development (SSRS & Power BI), query optimization, architecture and data management are essential. Hands-on experience is needed in a reputed data visualization tool.
